Eddy's Expeditions
Eddy has been a naturalist since 2002. In 2008 he completed his MSc in Environmental Science at the University of Peradeniya, Kandy. He was a member of Expo-Milano 2015 awarded project from the time when he worked at Rainforest Rescue International, where he was responsible for the biodiversity team. He awarded with MINOR sustainability award 2017 for “Sustainability home garden developments and share benefits of tourism” with the local community. His specialisms include butterflies, leopards and orchids. During his career he has conducted many projects including biodiversity conservation, restoring diminishing rainforests in Sri Lanka, school awareness programs and eco-tourism developments in Southern Sri Lanka. We are different. We share our tourism benefits with the local community by involve them on tourism and they protect our vulnerable ecosystems. Our community members are leaders in their local attractions. They take the leadership for conserving those places.
